There is just something special about growing up in a small town.
And the Fourth of July festivities in my small town are a big deal.
On the Saturday morning just before or after July 4th, the whole town comes out for the annual parade.
Horses, patriotic floats, the county nostalgia band, and of course...kids on bicycles.
For the first time this morning, our two older girls rode bikes in the parade all by themselves with some friends.
What a blessing it is to raise our kids in this small town.
What a blessing it is to have the freedoms we do.
We are so grateful to those brave men and women who have sacrificed to allow us to celebrate a day like today.
Happy Independence Day, friends.
